Lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your own home — where you can simply soak in the love, without needing to leave your nest. These sessions are designed to gently document your baby’s earliest days: the tiny fingers, delicate features, and quiet moments of awe that pass too quickly.
Every detail is captured with softness and care, from the way you hold them close to the wonder in your eyes. These timeless images will become your reminders of just how small they once were, and how deeply they were loved from the start.

Maternity sessions are a quiet celebration of the beauty, strength, and anticipation that come with new life. Together, we’ll capture the tender connection between you and your growing baby — and the love already surrounding them.
Partners and children are always welcome to be part of the story. Every session is softly guided and thoughtfully styled to reflect this meaningful chapter with warmth and grace.

Mini Sessions
Offered seasonally throughout the year, including Christmas and Mother's Day. These short and sweet sessions are perfect for annual updates, milestone moments, or capturing your family during your favorite time of year.
The next set of mini sessions will be Christmas minis in November 2026.

FAQ
Do you travel outside of Vancouver or out of province?
Absolutely. I'm happy to travel for sessions outside of the Lower Mainland. Whether it's a special location or a destination session, let's chat and make it happen.
Are travel expenses included in your packages?
Yes, all packages include travel within 30 km of Burnaby, BC. If you're located farther out, a small travel fee may apply. Jut reach out and I'd be happy to confirm.
Do you help with locations?
Yes! Once you’re booked in, I can suggest beautiful locations around the Lower Mainland that match your vision, whether you’re dreaming of something cozy and tucked away, or wide open and bathed in golden light.
How far in advance should we book?
The sooner the better — especially for golden hour sessions or newborns. I typically book anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months in advance (sometimes up to half a year for summer weekends!), but feel free to reach out. I’ll always do my best to fit you in.
When will we receive our photos?
You can expect your final edited gallery within 3-4 weeks. I take great care in hand-editing each image to reflect the warmth and consistency you see in my portfolio.
How do I book?
I’d love to work with you! Simply email me at kathy@kathylui.com (or use the contact form here on my website) and we can get the ball rolling. A 50% non-refundable retainer and a signed online agreement will secure your date.
When is payment due?
Your retainer is due at the time of booking. The remainder of your balance is to be paid in full at your session.
